RIOF

RIOF is the Registro de Inversión Extranjera y Operaciones Financieras con el Exterior, a mandatory reporting system administered by Banco Central de Bolivia. Companies use the online RIOF system to report foreign direct investment and financial transactions with parties outside Bolivia. Submissions are due within fifteen business days after the close of each quarter, under regulations approved by central bank board resolution. The central bank uses the data to compile Bolivia's balance of payments, international investment position, foreign private capital reports, and private external debt statistics. Users are finance and accounting staff at Bolivian companies with foreign shareholders, foreign loans, or cross-border financial operations.
