The Gestora Pública de la Seguridad Social de Largo Plazo is Bolivia's state entity administering the country's long-term social security and pension system. It assumed administration of the Sistema Integral de Pensiones in 2023, replacing the private pension fund administrators previously operating in the market. The entity collects mandatory contributions from employers and workers, manages individual retirement accounts, and pays pensions and related benefits to retirees and beneficiaries. Its Oficina Virtual lets affiliates check contribution history and account balances using a unique insured code or digital key, and lets employers manage contribution filings. Users include salaried workers, independent contributors, employers, pensioners, and survivors claiming benefits under Bolivian pension law.
