Arbor NOC

Arbor NOC refers to network operations center deployments of NETSCOUT Arbor Sightline, a network visibility and DDoS detection platform. It is used primarily by internet service providers, carriers, hosting companies, and large enterprise network operators to monitor traffic across backbone, peering, and customer edge links. The system ingests flow data such as NetFlow, sFlow, and IPFIX to build a real-time baseline of normal traffic and detect volumetric, protocol, and application-layer attacks. NOC and security teams use it to trigger mitigation, coordinate blackholing or scrubbing with upstream providers, and reduce time to mitigation during active incidents. Beyond attack detection, it supports traffic engineering, peering analysis, capacity planning, and historical reporting on network behavior.
