Expanded leadership team positions Cerby for rapid scale amid rising demand to help secure disconnected applications

Alameda, CA – May 05, 2025 — Cerby, the leader in identity security automation for disconnected applications, today announced it has expanded its executive team with the appointments of Reena Choudhry as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Miles Lavin as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Rick Weinberg as Vice President of Product. These seasoned leaders bring a wealth of experience to Cerby as the company continues its rapid growth and innovation in securing the last mile of identity—applications that lie beyond the reach of traditional identity platforms.

Reena Choudhry, a proven enterprise sales leader, brings over two decades of experience in sales leadership and partner-driven go-to-market strategies. Her previous roles have included Chief Revenue Officer at Obsidian Security and Very Good Security. During her tenure as Vice President of North American Sales at Shape Security, she helped drive the company toward its successful acquisition by F5 Networks.

I'm thrilled to join Cerby at such a transformative time, said Choudhry. Most companies have made significant investments in identity security—but critical blind spots remain. Cerby solves one of the biggest gaps in enterprise security by bringing automation and control to apps that fall outside existing identity infrastructure. It’s a massive market opportunity and a clear value driver for security and IT leaders.”

Miles Lavin joins Cerby as CFO, bringing extensive experience in financial strategy and operations. Most recently, he served as VP of Strategic Finance at Crowdbotics, overseeing all aspects of finance and business operations. Over his career, he’s raised $200M+ in venture funding and held leadership roles at startups from seed to Series E, worked in Fortune 5 enterprise environments, and was a top-tier strategy consultant.

“What excites me about Cerby is how fundamental it’s becoming to modern security architecture,” said Lavin. “This isn’t a niche problem—it’s a structural gap in identity programs that costs enterprises time, money, and risk. Cerby is automating what should have been automated all along, and I’m eager to help scale the business with discipline, efficient growth, and a focus on building a top-decile SaaS company.”

Rick Weinberg joins Cerby as Vice President of Product, bringing over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise B2B software. He has held senior product leadership roles at SailPoint, IBM, and Camunda, where he led the development of category-defining identity and automation platforms.

Cerby is solving a historical identity management problem that’s increasingly exposing many organizations, said Weinberg. Disconnected applications are a rapidly growing threat surface—and Cerby’s approach to bringing them under centralized control addresses a critical security gap that organizations can no longer afford to ignore. This is a high-stakes problem, and I'm excited to build a product that will help organizations regain control over their security posture and close one of the most persistent gaps in identity management.

These appointments come as Cerby accelerates adoption of its platform among global enterprises looking to bring identity and access controls to every part of their application ecosystem—including those that traditional identity systems don’t support.

Reena, Miles, and Rick are joining at a pivotal moment,” said Cerby CEO and co-founder Belsasar Lepe. “As adoption accelerates, their expertise will help us scale with purpose—expanding our platform, growing our customer community, and building the new foundation for identity security. Their leadership deepens our bench as we push the boundaries of what identity automation can do.

Cerby is purpose-built to extend identity security to any application—no APIs or standard protocols required. By automating critical tasks like user provisioning, deprovisioning, multi-factor authentication enrollment, and credential management, Cerby eliminates security coverage gaps and reduces the operational burden on IT and security teams.
