Content Specialist

The storyteller sets the vision, values, and agenda of an entire generation that is to come...” With this in mind, we are looking for a writer in the top 1% of their game. Someone who can understand the value Cerby adds to businesses and then turn around and begin telling a cohesive story through various forms such as writing, podcasting, and video.

This is a special role that may be the most important in all of marketing. Your day-to-day activities will include interviewing customers, industry influencers, prospects, and internal stakeholders such as Sales and Product to turn that information into a story. If you like to learn and then tell others about it creatively and compellingly, this role might be for you.

What you will do:

  • Have a core understanding of brand positioning, including tone and voice

  • Creating conversion-based content that is highly engaging and relevant to our ideal customer profile

  • Understanding of full-funnel marketing and contemporary content marketing strategies

  • Creating key lead metrics that indicate if our content strategy is working and optimizing as needed to increase leads and conversion rates

  • Create content for our website, ads, email, social networks, and in-person events

  • Assist with QA and proofreading of communications copy for accuracy and consistency

  • Be an English language master and love catching spelling and grammar errors

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years experience in areas relevant to the role; 3+ years experience in journalism preferred

  • Sourced in the areas of technology and cybersecurity

  • Able to work independently and remotely, coming up with ideas, guiding and editing stories

  • Some experience with audio/video editing is preferred but not required

  • Understanding of cybersecurity and technology

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills

  • Writing samples including any marketing content you’ve generated (blogs, articles, website content, infographics, e-books, etc.)
